When you cannot see shared folders or shared printers

To access shared folders on other computers or use shared printers, you need to be logged on to Microsoft Windows.

Before using the below procedure, do the following:

To log on to Microsoft Windows

  1. In Microsoft Windows, click Start, click Shut Down, and then click Log Off <YourAccountName>.

    When you log off from the computer, you close your user account but the computer remains on (that is, the computer does not shut down).
 
  1. Log on, using the standard steps for your Windows version.

    For example, if you are using Microsoft Windows XP, click your user account icon on the Welcome screen, and then type your password, if you are prompted for it.

    If you are using a network domain, press CTRL+ALT+DEL, and then type your user name and password.
 
  1. Start Network Magic again.
 
  1. To verify that you can access the shared folders you want, click Shared Folders.
